Powering Futures – The Tayside Circular Economy Challenge
Zero Waste Scotland is partnering with Powering Futures (supported by Circular Tayside) to deliver a bespoke programme tailored for Tayside region. The Challenge aims to support young people (aged 16-24) in businesses and organisations as they develop circular solutions to challenges proposed by their employers (They also welcome joint teams from across businesses, young start-ups, and can even source young people from within Zero Waste Scotland if a business has a challenge but no young people). Women in Forestry Practical Training Fund
Women in Scotland who wish to pursue a career within the forestry sector or those who are already working in forestry and want to progress their career can get funded training courses up to the value of £500. Find out more here.
Perthshire Talks Responsible Tourism Webinars
This new series of webinars and events from VisitScotland and Perth & Kinross Council, on behalf of the Perthshire Tourism Partnership, focuses on responsible tourism, including climate action and accessibility. See the programme here.
VACMA 2024/25
The Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards (VACMA) are a programme of small grants schemes delivered in partnership with local authorities and art organisations across Scotland. In 2024/25, VACMA is offering fixed bursaries of £500 and £1000, with deadlines for 5pm, 22 October 2024 and 5pm, 4 February 2025 (not all partners offer a scheme with both deadlines). Perth & Kinross Beyond Scotland Market Development Grant
This grant has been reinstated for the 2024/25 financial year and grants of up to £3,000 are available. It’s open to fund projects that will enable businesses to expand their market overseas and into other parts of the UK. For more information, email Perth & Kinross Council here.
Renfrewshire Council Business Training Support Grant
Up to £2,000 is available to businesses in Renfrewshire that are involved in manufacturing or business-to-business services. The funding is to help cover employer and employee training that's required as part of a specific business development project. Find out more here.
