Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards

If you run a business or know a woman-led business that has achieved great things you can now apply or nominate them for these awards, which have 10 categories to choose from this year. The closing date for entries is Friday 18th August. Find out more and apply here.


Circular Textiles Fund

Zero Waste Scotland is administering this fund, backed by the Scottish Government, to help businesses in Scotland create their own innovative circular projects and reduce the environmental impact of textiles. Collaboration between organisations is encouraged. The fund covers up to 50% of eligible project costs and the deadline for submitting expressions of interest is the 9 June 2023. Green Grant Fund

Businesses in the tourism, creative and food and drink processing sectors, and social enterprises in any sector, that are based in the Highlands and Islands, can apply for funding of up to £150,000, to cover up to 50% of the cost of a project that will reduce their energy use or make it greener. 2023 Social Enterprise Awards Scotland

Applications for the 2023 Social Enterprise Awards Scotland are open. Get recognised for your mission, social impact and hard work by entering one of the nine categories. It’s easy and free to apply, enter before Monday 3 July. Find out more here.


Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament

The 5th Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament has the theme of 'village halls and community spaces' and will take place from the 1st to the 3rd of November in Fort William at the Nevis Centre. Here'e the link to their new website for more information.


SBCC Job Taster Programme 2023

This programme, in association with The Scottish Borders Council, provides businesses with the opportunity to be paired with young people looking for employment opportunities across the region. The job taster events are informal networking events, located in Duns and Galashiels, where Borders businesses can learn how they can be involved.
