Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund: The scheme offers a one-off £4,000 payment for those whose status as being newly self-employed makes them ineligible for the UK Government’s Coronavirus (Covid-19) Self-employment Income Support Scheme. The deadline for applications for this scheme has been extended to 11.59pm on 23 March 2021. Find out more here.
Mobile And Home Based Close Contact Services Fund: The application deadline for this fund, which is for owners and operators of mobile and home-based close contact service businesses and for registered driving instructors, has been extended to 11.59pm on 23 March 2021. Brand for Growth: Applications are now open, offering social enterprises in Scotland the chance to secure a fully funded re-evaluation of their brand. Successful applicants will embark on a bespoke rebranding exercise to align and strengthen their organisation for the future. Applications are open from 5th - 31st March 2021 and a second round of opportunities will be released from 1st - 30th April. Find more information and apply here.
Crowdfund Scotland: After a successful 2 year contract between Crowdfunder and LEADER to implement Crowdfund Scotland, a further 5 months of support has now been made available to projects interested in this method of funding. Find out more here.
Highland Discretionary Grant Scheme: The Highland Council has received more funds from the Scottish Government for the Discretionary Grant Scheme. It therefore has been able to widen the eligibility criteria to enable more businesses to apply. Businesses who previously considered that they did not meet the criteria for this grant are encouraged to reread the guidance. With the additional funds being made available and revised eligibility criteria, the deadline for applications has been extended until 19 March 2021. Find out more here.
The Scottish Guest House and B&B Alliance: The Scottish Guest House and B&B Alliance has been newly formed by a collection of guest house and B&B associations throughout Scotland to provide representation to its members and to the broader guest house and B&B community. Find out more here.
