Last week there were some important announcements, including Scotland's route map out of lockdown and the opening of the online service for employers to reclaim Statutory Sick Pay. More details and relevant links are summed up here:
Perth and Kinross Business Barometer Survey: The Covid-19 Business Support Task Force established by PKC in March is looking to gather information on how the coronavirus crisis has impacted on local businesses to inform their local Economic Recovery Plan. They want to ensure the business support provided is what is needed both now and going forward. You can help by taking the survey here.
The Coronavirus Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme: The online service employers can use to reclaim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is now available. To use the online service you will need the Government Gateway user ID you got when you registered for PAYE Online (if you did not register online you will need to enrol for the PAYE Online service). Find out how to claim here.
Just Enterprise: Just Enterprise, the Government funded support agency for the third sector, is offering business restructuring advice and support for those whose income and trading activity has been affected by Coronavirus. Find out more here.
Route Map Through and Out of the Coronavirus Crisis: Last week the Scottish Government published their route map, giving an indication of the order in which they plan to change the current restrictions in a gradual, careful way. Read it in full here.
Rural Employment Incentive: The incentive will provide employers with a financial contribution towards the costs of recruiting and sustaining a young person in employment. It could be utilised in a number of ways, including additional supervisory costs, training, initial travel to work costs or wages. It aims to support employers and encourage the recruitment of young people (aged 16-29) into sustainable employment. Find out more here.
