SDS Rural Employers Toolkit: Skills Development Scotland have published a guide on training, placement support, apprenticeships and more for rural businesses in Scotland. Check out the Rural Employers’ Toolkit.


The Better Breaks Programme: This programme provides grants to third sector and charitable organisations to develop and deliver short breaks and services for disabled children and young people, and their carers. These can include breaks away, days out, and/or shorter regular activities and sessions. The deadline for applications is Thursday 18 November. Find out more on the Shared Care Scotland website.


Care and Wellbeing CIC Open for New Members: This friendly and mutually supportive network of care and wellbeing practitioners across rural Perth and Kinross is open to new members, including carers and personal assistants. A career as a self-employed care and wellbeing practitioner can be full or part time and provide the opportunity to structure your working week around other commitments or augment your income while running another business. Art/Lighting Commission Opportunity for Perth High Street: Perth & Kinross Council are looking to commission a collection of eight sculptural works that will be attached to or form part of lighting columns within the main High Street within the Perth City Centre. Social Investment Scotland Roundtable: This hour-long event on 17 November at 12:00 will be a discussion on bridging loans, a type of social investment for social enterprises and charities, and how they might help organisations manage the difference in timing of income and expenditure.
