Rural Enterprise News: 13 December

As the holiday season fast approaches, here's a few updates, events and opportuniites to be aware of before switching of for a week or two!


HIE Young Business Capital Grant Fund

This funding opportunity is for young businesses and social enterprises in the Highlands and Islands area, who have been trading for less than five years, for capital investment projects that help them grow. The funding is a non-repayable grant of up to £75,000 which will cover between 20% and 50% of the total cost of a project. The minimum grant award is £10,000. Find out more and apply here.


Fife SME Development Grant

Financial support via small non-repayable grants to help small and medium-sized enterprises in Fife to develop and grow. You can receive more than one grant, with a maximum total amount of £2,850. You must be working with Business Gateway Fife to be considered. The deadline to apply to this fund is 31 January 2025. Find out more here.


Regional EDGE

This new pilot award is the latest initiative in the long-standing relationship between the Scottish Government and Scottish EDGE. Innovative, high growth start-ups from across Perth and Kinross, Dundee and Angus, North East, and the Highlands and Islands are in with the chance of winning up to £50,000 in prizes. An online application support workshop will run on Monday 16 December from 2.30pm – 4pm. Register here.


GrowBiz will be delivering the initiative for Perth & Kinross and the Cairngorms, and five winners will share awards totalling £100,000. Applications are open! Moray Pathways Community Space Fund

Organisations in Moray working with the local community can apply for up to £16,00 to deliver employability services within their community space and improve digital connectivity and accessibility for the people and communities of Moray. Find out more here.


Startup Essentials: What to Know Before Diving into Your Business Adventure, Online, Wednesday 19 February, 12:00 – 13:30
