We're over halfway through March already, and it's definitely starting to feel springlike! Make the most of this wonderful season with our latest events, opportunities and news for rural enterprises and communities:


Perth & Kinross Green Recovery Capital Development Grant

Businesses in the area can apply for up to £25,000, covering up to 50% of eligible costs, to invest in capital projects. These could include to implement new systems, new ways of working, new machinery, and investment in green technology. Find out more and apply here.


The Catalyst Fund

This fund from Firstport offers loans of £50,000 or more to social enterprises through a flexible, revenue-based repayment model.  Find out more here.


HIE Commercial Land and Property Demand Survey

Can you find the space you need in the Highlands and Islands? Businesses and organisations in the region can take this survey to help HIE understand the nature and scale of demand for office space, workshop, laboratory and/or manufacturing facilities. Complete by Friday 22 March here.


Argyll and Bute Small Business Development Grant

If you are a micro or small business based in the Argyll and Bute Council area you may be eligible for a grant of up to £5000—for up to 50% of your approved costs—to help you develop your business. Find out more here.


SDP Meet the Buyer National 2024

This event on Wednesday 5 June at Hampden Park is free to visit and aims to help small and medium-sized suppliers from across Scotland to meet buyers and decision makers and hear about upcoming projects and contracts. You must register an account with SDP to book. Find out more here.


New Dunkeld Health and Wellbeing Hub

For all health and wellbeing practitioners—massage therapists, chiropodists, audiologists, nail technicians and more. Dunkeld and Birnam Community Co-working Space and GrowBiz are teaming up to open a ‘health and wellbeing hub’ at the Guide Hall in Little Dunkeld to support your businesses. SMART: SCOTLAND Grant

This grant from Scottish Enterprise is to enable small or medium-sized businesses to conduct feasibility studies to help show how ambitious project ideas involving technological innovation could work in the real world. Find out more here.



GrowBiz: Developing Your Selling Mindset, Online Event, 18 April, 16:30 - 18:00

Become more comfortable talking to your customers with a view to making a sale. This learning session will look at how you move to talking about value and outcomes and learn why it's important to understand the journey your customer takes before making a purchase with you. In addition, discuss what the best channels might be to sell your products or services and look at some ideas about how you can pre-sell by creating compelling marketing content.
