Kinross Drop-In Enterprise Support Session

The Kinross-shire Partnership is teaming up with GrowBiz to provide enterprise support to anyone in the Kinross-shire area looking to start or grow a business. Drop into the Avant Garde café and gifts shop at 55 High Street, Kinross, KY13 8AA on 7 September and speak confidentially to an Enterprise Facilitator.

Highland Spotlight

Part of the ninth Highland Business Week, which will run from Monday 25 to Friday 29 September, the Highland Spotlight on the 26 of September is a business to business exhibition that provides an opportunity to make new contacts and find buyers and suppliers. Reserve your space here.


Skills Passport

Applications to this Perth and Kinross Council fund are now open. The fund offers up to £2500 for training and/or start up tools, marketing and equipment for the self employed, and up to £2000 for training and/or equipment for unemployed individuals. Find out more here.

Scottish Borders Business Excellence Awards

These awards are now open for nominations, with 10 categories available, from Sole Trader of the Year to Net Zero Business of the Year. The awards event will take place at Peebles Hydro on 1 September. Find out more and download an award recommendation for your chosen category here.


Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Board

The Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity is seeking to appoint one Member to the board of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority. The role will be pivotal to helping the Park flourish both for this generation and the next. The closing date for applications is 7 August 2023. Scottish Rural Leadership Programme Launch

Elevator and Scottish Enterprise are on the hunt for applicants looking to unlock their full leadership potential and drive growth in the rural economy on a local and national level. Participants in the Scottish Rural Leadership Programme will benefit from expert-run workshops, 1-2-1 coaching and peer support, and also by joining a 700+ strong network of graduates. Perth Show

GrowBiz and Great Perthshire (Perth & Kinross food & drink network) will be co-hosting a stand at the Perth Show on the 4th and 5th of August in the food and drink pavilion, featuring Perthshire on a Plate. They’ll be there to meet businesses and promote Perth and Kinross products, so if you're attending the show at the South Inch in Perth, do stop by and say hello.

Five Mile Feast Event

Perth and Kinross Council, NHS Tayside and Giraffe are working in partnership with the Strathmore Community Hub in Coupar Angus to organise the Five Mile Feast event on 12 August 2023. It will showcase local produce and producers – within a 5 mile radius of the town – to promote and teach healthy food choices and provide a free, good day out.
