Village Halls Week
Scottish Rural Action (SRA) has announced the return of Village Halls Week from March 17-23, 2025, in partnership with Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE). Village halls in Scotland are invited to join this celebration for the first time, which will highlight the volunteers who manage rural community buildings. Free resources, including bunting, badges, and posters, are available thanks to sponsorship from Utility Aid. If your group would like to participate, register your interest by 10 December here.
Podcast Producer Commission for Groam House Museum
Groam House Museum are looking for a freelance podcast producer to create an engaging series about the Picts. With a focus on appealing to listeners aged 16-44, the 'At Home with the Picts' podcast will combine storytelling, historical insights, and creative sound design. Funded by the National Lottery, this project offers £5,400 to develop 4-8 episodes (80-100 mins). The deadline to apply is Wednesday 18 December at 09:00. Find out more here.

Outer Hebrides Digital Support Scheme (OHDSS)
This scheme aims to help small businesses in the Outer Hebrides develop and implement new digital systems by means of funding, mentoring and other support. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for full-time businesses, and £2,500 for part-time businesses, to cover up to 75% of eligible project costs. You must be able to cover the full project costs upfront until you receive the grant. Find out more here.
