Meet the Buyer North

The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) is set to host the seventh annual Meet the Buyer North event, on 11 September at The Music Halls in Aberdeen. This event will bring together buyers and suppliers for the largest free procurement event in the North of Scotland. The event is aimed at all micro, small and medium size organisations looking to win work in the North of Scotland. Advanced Innovation Vouchers

Interface and Scottish Enterprise have announced £250,000 funding aimed at building sustained relationships between business and academia. Advanced Innovation Vouchers are open to small and medium sized Scottish enterprises for research and development collaborations to create new products, processes and services. Shetland Islands Council Economic Development Grant Scheme

Businesses and third sector organisations based in Shetland can get help with costs related to supporting local communities and promoting innovation, sustainability, diversity and growth. The grant is for up to 50% of eligible costs, with a maximum grant of £25,000. Find out more here.


Research and Development Grants

Businesses in areas of Scotland covered by Scottish Enterprise may be eligible for funding towards researching and developing a new product, process or service, or significantly improving an existing one. Small or medium-sized enterprises could receive a grant to cover between 35% and 50% of their eligible project costs. The minimum grant considered is £150,000. Find out more here.


Cairngorms National Park Authority Survey

The Cairngorms National Park Authority are keen to hear from people who live and work in the National Park on what's important to them. They have commissioned a residents’ survey to help do so— take it here.


GrowBiz and Cayr Local Role Opportunity

Cayr Local is an innovative partnership project delivered by Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) and GrowBiz, funded by South Ayrshire Council. The project aims to support local people to work as self-employed Personal Assistants (PAs), offering care and support to individuals in their local community; to promote the PA role as a flexible and meaningful opportunity; and to help individuals to access PA support, through matching services and ongoing assistance. GrowBiz is looking to contract an individual who will work on the project as a self-employed Enterprise Facilitator. This role will involve supporting self-employed practitioners who are participating in the Cayr Local microenterprise project in South Ayrshire, providing one-to-one enterprise support, information and coaching to anyone wishing to start-up or develop a care and wellbeing practice in the area.
