The world’s first Smart Village for young people is taking shape! At the beginning of November we successfully recruited an amazing group of 11 digital champions from all over rural Scotland, from the Hebrides to the Borders.
Since then we have facilitated 4 online group sessions and have trained and made significant progress in developing this innovative platform. The sessions have been great for team building, training and providing time to feedback and discuss all the Digital Champions' findings and ideas.
With the support of the RYPSV team, the Digital Champions have been very busy engaging with their communities through surveys, phone calls, social media and emails to get feedback from their peers to help create this unique platform and make it relevant for other young people in rural Scotland.
We are at a very exciting stage where the Digital Champions have refined the aims and outcomes of the platform and it is now about making it a reality and pulling together all of the resources and content to bring it to life in early 2021.
