Coronavirus Update: 30 November

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

Tomorrow is the first day of December - so the good news is that it’s just three weeks until the shortest day of the year. The not-so-good news is that the remainder of 2020, and early 2021, are still looking rather uncertain from an enterprise perspective. the following blog post provides a helpful overview of what opportunities might be available to you and the latest news on what’s happening:

Supporting Creative Enterprises in the Cairngorms National Park Survey: If you’re an artist, creative, maker, performer, run a creative organisation, venue, gallery or outlet in the Cairngorms Nationals Park area, we need your input via this survey to help build a strategy to support and further develop the wealth of local creative talent. Potential ‘next steps’ that the survey will help to inform could include a ‘virtual high street’ type concept with the inclusion of various channels for a directory/e-commerce/sales. Closing date 5pm Monday 7 December. Take the survey here.

Launch of Coronavirus Memorial Website Lost/Found: A new website, Lost/Found, launched today, has collated memorials for people who have died throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of the families who contributed to the website are working with artists to create physical memorials to remember those lost. There will be an exhibition of the work shown in 2021. If you’re a creative practitioner or maker and want to be involved in the project, please email Anna Day. Find out more here.

Brexit Transition Period Master Checklist: The Brexit transition period will end on 31 December, so it’s important for your business to be prepared.
